MFA Thesis: Night Walks

My MFA Thesis exhibition, Night Walks, was open in the Iowa State University College of Design’s Gallery 181 for two weeks in February-March 2026.

About Night Walks:

I used to be afraid of the dark. Night Walks is a collection of work I made about, and
through, the process of getting over this fear. The only answer I have found to fear
is curiosity. Rather than imagining all the bad things that could happen, I trained
myself to really observe and think about the places and people around me. I
developed a deeper love and respect for the complexity of perception in limited
lighting conditions. Making this work has allowed me to search the night for beauty
and mystery instead of threats and monsters.
